Machalipatnam

Machilipatnam was also known ‘Masulipatnam’ during the British Raj in India. Machilipatnam is famous for its sweetmeat called ‘Bandar Ladoo’, hence earning the moniker ‘Bandar city’. Machilipatnam is located near the Bay of Bengal and is vulnerable to the storm surges caused by frequent cyclones in this area. Machilipatnam is a beautiful town and is situated in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.
