Mahalingpur or Mahalingapura is a census town in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. The Ghataprabha river, a tributary of the river Krishna, flows through southwest of the Mahalingapura town through the Nandagaon village. Agriculture and weaving are the primary industries in Mahalingapura. It is a traditional center for cotton and silk spinning, sizing, weaving and dyeing. Mahalingapura is known for its Jaggery market.
