Malvan is a historical town in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. Being a coastal town, the staple food of the population here is fish curry and rice. Malvan is also known for the varieties of mangoes produced here, which include the Alphonso. Sweets such as Ladoos and Khaja from this town are popular across the state. Malvani Dashavtar, which is a drama based on mythological stories forms an important part of Malvani culture.
