About Marthandam

Marthandam

One of the major trading centre in Kuzhithurai municipality, Marthandam is part of the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. The place is named after the erstwhile Travancore king Marthanda Varma. There is a famous Lord Ayyappa temple in Marthandam  which is situated at the banks of Kuzhithurai River. There is also an ancient in this place called the Kotheshwaram temple.
