Kesaria is located in the district of East Champaran in the state of Bihar, India. Kesaria is located near Rampur Khajuria on National highway 28. Kesaria is famous for its Buddha Stupas that were built by King Ashoka. It is said that Buddha stayed in Kesaria for quite a long time and preached the Kesaputtiya Suttas (sutras) to the people there. Kesaria is located at a distance of 33 km from Champaran.
