A Nagar Panchayat and mandal headquarter in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh,Mummidivaram is the second largest town in Konaseema. Fondly referred to as the temple town of Balayogi, Mummidivaram is well-known for its paddy, coconut, turmeric, banana and sugarcane fields. Located on NH 214 Mummidiavaram is visited by lakhs of devotees on the day after MahaShivaratri, for the special celebration at the Balayogi temple.
