Situated in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, Nazareth is a Christian town, created by missionaries from Europe. Located near the southern tip of the country, Nazareth is about 41 km away from Thoothukudi and about 40 km from Tirunelveli. Well-known for the 200-year-old church located in the centre of town, Nazareth also houses many Gothic-styled churches which are visited by pilgrims from across the region. Nazareth is well-connected to all the major cities and town in South India.
