Nedumudy is a small hamlet or village in the Alappuzha district in the state of Kerala, India. The village is said to be the birthplace of the actor Nedumudi Venu. It is also the first ever village in Kerala to attain 100% literacy. Nedumudy is a part of the lower Kuttandu region and it sits on the banks of river Pampa.It is located at a distance of 9 km from Alappuzha and 144 km from Thiruvananthapuram.
