Ozar is situated on the banks of the Kukadi river. It is also called Ojhar or Ojzar and is a popular pilgrim town in the Junnar taluka of Pune. Its temples attract tourists from all over the country, the Vigneshwara Temple or Vighnahar Ganapati Temple is the most popular. Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, this temple was constructed to celebrate him defeating Vignasura, the demon of obstacles.
