Panaji or Panjim is the capital city of Goa in India. It is known as “the land that never floods”. The word Panaji is believed to be derived from Sanskrit words Khali and Panjani, which means a small creek and a boat respectively.

There are several places of tourist attraction in Panaji. Casino Royale, the largest floating casino in Goa, has a gaming floor dedicated to all table games, slots and a poker room. Kala Academy which is located on DB Bandodkar Road, next to the Children's park in Campal is also popular.
How to Get There
The Dabolim is the nearest airport which is around 30 km away.
Margoan is the nearest major railway station, located around 33 km away from Panaji. The Karmali station is about 10 km to the east of the town.
There are plenty of buses plying from other parts of the state to Panaji. There are also many luxury buses plying from different other states to Panaji – Sea Bird Travels and Paulo Travels are popular options. Travel websites provide several bus booking offer that will help you save money.
