About Panchkula

Panchkula

Panchkula, the satellite city of Chandigarh, derives its name from the five kuls (irrigation canals) in the city. It is considered the base town for the numerous surrounding hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. Panchkula, Mohila and Chandigarh are collectively known as the Chandigarh Tri-city. Panchkula experiences extreme weather conditions both during summer and winter. They receive moderate rainfall.

The Panchkula bus station is located in the centre of the town. Buses to Delhi, Chandigarh, Simla and Morni (among many other places) are available from here.
