A town in Panchkula district of Haryana, Pinjore is located at the confluence of Jhajjar and Kaushalya rivers in the Shivalik ranges. Pinjore is mostly known for the 17th century terraced garden called Yadavindra or Pinjore gardens and the Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) factory which is located here. It is located 14 km away from Panchkula and 22 km from Chandigarh. The name Pinjore originated from Panchpura or the ‘town of the pandavas’.
