Ron is a town in the Gadag district of northern Karnataka. Once called Dronapur, it has a significant historical importance. There are many temples is this village which date back to ancient times. The ancient architect and warrior-priest Dronacharya is believed to have been responsible for the construction of most of these temples. The town is also home to many other historical monuments.
