Sangrur is a town in the Sangrur district in Punjab. It lies at the junction of the roads that link Chandigarh with Bathinda and Jalandhar with Rewari. It is located at a distance of 58 km from Patiala and 77 km from Ludhiana. The railway line from Ludhiana to Jakhal passes through Sangrur. Earlier Sangrur was a rural area but it is now a business and education hub. The months between January and March are the best to visit Sangrur.
