The sole home of the Asiatic Lions, Sasan Gir also known as ‘Gir Van’ and ‘The Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary’ is a forest and wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat. With a total area of 1412 km², Sasan Gir was established in 1975. Known as ‘Mini Africa’, Sasan Gir is home to 2375 species of fauna and 400 species of flora.
