A town situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh and belonging to the Mahabubnagar district, Shadnagar is also an assembly constituency. The town was originally named Janammapet, and was named Shadnagar in the honour of a famous Urdu poet. It is known for its small-scale industries which drive the economy of the region. It is situated at a distance of 43 km from Shadnagar and 195 km from Warangal.
