Surathkal

Surathkal is a municipal town situated on NH 66 in the South Kanara district of Karnataka. The town is located at a distance of 13 km from the district headquarters of Mangalore. The town is famous for the sacred Mahalingeshwara Temple which attracts many devotees all the year round. The town has many spectacular beaches and natural lakes that are ideal for visiting. The nearest cities to Surathkal are Mangalore (13 km) and Udupi (42 km).
