A city and a municipality in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, Tadipatri/Tadpatri, which was also known Bhaskara Kshetra is famous for its purity of gold. To the south of the city lies a thick forest of palm trees. It is believed that the city got its name from Tatipatri which means garden of palm trees.
