Tharad is a town based in the Banaskhanta District of Gujarat, India. The town is also known as Thirpur. It is based close to the Gujarat border, about 40 km away from the Pakistan border and 15 km away from the Indian state of Rajasthan. Initially, Tharad was ruled by Rajputs and was a princely state.
