Tonk, also known as “Lucknow of Rajasthan”, is a small town in the district of Tonk in Rajasthan. It is located about 95 km south of Jaipur, near the Banas River, on its right bank. Tonk is well known for its havelis and mosques. Many pilgrimage places are located here. Tonk is also known for leather and felt products manufactured here, and one can get products from the markets at a good bargain.

Jaipur Sanganer Airport is the nearest airport to Tonk (95 km).
Tonk is not well connected with other cities via railways. Bhanwar-Tonk Railway Station (25 km) is the nearest station to the town. But one has to alight at Banasthali-Newai Railway Station (35 km) and board a train to Tonk.
