A village in the Bhiwandi city in Maharashtra, Vajreshwari is situated close to the river Tansa. It is about 40 km from Thane and 65 km from Mumbai. The village is famous for the temple of goddess Vajreshwari near Mandagiri hills, which were formed out of volcanic eruptions and the 21 hot water springs close by. These hot springs have been named after different Hindu deities. This village was earlier called Vadvali and was later changed to Vajreswari.
