Vakadu is located on the banks of the river Suvarnamukhi (or Swarnamukhi) in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. It is well-known for the six temples it houses - the Nageswara Swami Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Rama Temple, Alaghnatha Swami temple, the Nagarapamma temple and the Desamma temple. A recent addition is the Chenna Kesava temple. Vakadu is located 57 km from district headquarters of Nellore and 482 km from Hyderabad.
