Yanam is a small rural area in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the northern bank of the Godavari river, not far from the picturesque estuary to the east, at a distance of 13 km. Apart from the Bay of Bengal coast, one can always readily visit the Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary (15 km to the north), adjacent to the seaside.

One will have to venture into Rajahmundry (the major urban hub of the area at a distance of 67 km north-west) in order to put up for the night. There are a couple of good budget hotels in the city. The place in itself does not have great places of interest unlike Rajahmundry. Some of the places worth visiting in Rajahmundry are Gowthami Ghat, Godavari Bund, Venkateshwara Swamy Temple, Sir Arthur Cotton Museum, a boat ride on the river Godavari and others.
