Yarlagadda, formerly known as Yerlagadda and originally known as Yerulagadda, is a village in Andhra Pradesh within the Krishna district near Challapalli village. The name “Yarlagadda” was derived from the surname of the Recharla clan who lived in Yarlagadda for few generations. This village is the native of Pingali Venkayya, the creator of Indian national flag.
