Allahabad the second-oldest city in India is located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier it was the ancient city of Prayag, the Mughals later changed it to Allahabad. The famous kumbh mela is held here, as this place is sacred to the hindus. According to hindu mythology, Brahma offered his first sacrifice after creating the world. Also the triveni sangam which is the confluence of three rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati is located in Allahabad.

All Saints Cathedral: It is commonly lnown as Patthar Girja Ghar. This building has lush green premises surrounding it and this church was built in gothic style in the 19th century.
Allahabad University: This university is one of the oldest in India from where many prominent personalities had studied.it was established on 23rd September 1887 and boasts of being called the Oxford Of India. It has many heritage buildings in this sprawling campus.
Ewing Christian College : In the year 1902, American Presbyterians established the college. The river Yamuna flows past the campus, which were built according to American and Victorian era architecture.

National Highway 2 runs through Allahabad and this city has roads connecting cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata and other major towns. UPSRTC buses ply from this city to other major places.
