Aruppukottai is a town and a municipality in Virudhunagar district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. it is located at a distance of 45 km from Madurai. It is famous for its jasmine cultivation.

Aruppukottai has one non-working railway station because it is having meter gauge only. This Railway station is now being converted to Broad Gauge railway line to Connect Manamadurai and Virudhunagar.
