Attur is a town in the district of Salem in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. This place is the main shopping area for the neighbouring region. There are a number of temples in this place. Near to this town are some waterfalls which are frequently visited by the tourists. There are also the Yaanaivaari Hills which is a place of scenic beauty.

There is less number of hotels in this place. The best way is to make a stay in Salem and then make a visit to Attur. There are a number of Hotels in Salem and one can make a choice from the wide variety of hotels present there.

The nearest airport is the Salem airport located at a distance of55 km from the town. One can hire a taxi or a cab to reach the airport and also to travel from the airport to the town.

The nearest railway station is the Attur railway station. There are trains connecting Attur to a number of places of South India. Trains are also there to a number of major Indian cities.
Roads:
Attur falls on NH-79. There are bus services running between Attur to a number of neighbouring towns and cities. One can have a comfortable ride to Attur by taking a bus.
