BIJAPUR
Bijapur is a city in the state of Karnataka. It is the headquarters of the Bijapur district of Karnataka. It is famous for its historical monuments dating back to the Adil Shahi dynasty. Its located not very far from the major cities of Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Gol Gumbaz:
This monument in Bijapur is famous all over India. It is a symbol of magnificent architecture of the muslim rulers. it is the second largest dome in the world, next to St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. This place attracts a large number of tourists over the year. The main attraction in this place is the Whispering Gallery. This monument signifies the architectural marvel of the rulers at that time.
Ibrahim Rauza:
This monument is the tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II.
Malik-e-Maidan:
It is the largest medieval cannon in the world.
Upli Buruj:
This magnificent building is a spherical structure built in the 16th century.
Asar Mahal:
This building was the court in the days of Mohammed Adil Shah in the 17th century.
Gagan Palace:
This is a magnificent building with massive pillars and a grand central arch.
Saat Kabar:
This place has sixty graves and is regarded as the ‘dark tourist spot’.
Lord Shiva Statue:
This is the 2nd biggest shiva statue in the country.
