Chenganoor, a beautiful town in the east part of Alappuzha district, is 117 kms north of state capital Thiruvananthapuram on the Main Central Road. Its northern, southern and eastern sides are bordering the Pathanamthitta District. Chegannur was a busy business town from the historical period onwards. It is well connected by rail and road and water transport.

Chenganoor Mahadevar Temple
This temple is a holy place for the Hindus and there is also the Shakthi peetham related to the legend of Daksha’s sacrifice.
Aranmula Temple
The famous Parthasarathi temple is situated on the banks of the holy river Pamba. It is located 8kms from Chenganoor and is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It attracts a large number of devotees.
Parumala Church
The festival of ormapperunnal celebrated on the first and second of every November. It is a very famous church and is visited by tourists throughout the year.
Thiruchittaru Sree Krishna Temple ( Dharmar Ambalam)
This is a very beautiful temple located near Chenganoor. Tourists can reach this place by getting down in Chengannur Railway station. Bus facilities are also available to this place from all the nearby places. The speciality of this place is that Dharman, one of the Pandavas worked in raising this temple and did lots of spiritual works in developing the temple.
Paandavan Para
This is a place with a collection of gigantic rocks. It is rumoured that the Paandavas stayed here during their Vanvaas.
Poomal Chaal
This place is in Ala panchayyath. It is a big pond which is going to be a tourist place soon. There is a natural lotus lake and is located 3 km away from Chenganoor Town.
Pazhaya Suriyani Pally
It is a very old church visited frequently by the tourists and is made up of rocks & woods. The Church is famous for the Aval Nercha held on every Monday and Thursday.

There are highways connecting all the major places to this town. One can take a bus ride to travel to this place which is quite convenient and comfortable.
