Ervadi is a village in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. It lies in the district of Ramanathapuram. It belongs to Kadaladi Taluk and Keelakarai town panchayat of Tamil Nadu. The famous shrine of Hazrat Sultan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed badusha radiyallah ta’ala anhu is in the village of Ervadi. It is a seashore town with a number of sea side spots attracting tourists.

Shuhadaas and Waliyatullahs in Erwadi
Emperor Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed badusha along with the members of his clan are buried in this dargah. The sacred graves of other important Shuhadaas and in laws of Badusha Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed are found inside the premises.

The main shrine (dargah) in Erwadi is the holiest place for Muslims in Tamil Nadu because it is mixed with the soil of Madinah.
Kattupalli Shuhadaas
Kattupalli is one of the main places where the war between Pandyas and Arabs was held. It is also the graveyard of Arabs where the Dargahs of all important ministers of Sulthan Syed Ibrahim Shaheed badhusha Radiyallah tala anhu are found.

There are proper roads connecting Ervadi to all major places of south India. There are frequent buses during the day being operated by TNSTC from Ramanathapuram to Erwadi. Also TNSTC operates direct buses to Erwadi from various parts of Tamil Nadu like Madurai, Kumuli, Pattukottai, Thondi, Nagore and Chennai.
Railways:
Ramanathapuram railway station (Station code: RMD) is the nearest station to Ervadi and is well connected through road. There are trains running from this place to all the major places of India which includes the major metros.
Air:
The Tuticorin airport is the nearest airport to Ervadi. It is located at a distance of 92.3 km from here. The next nearest is the Madurai airport located at a distance of 97.5 km from Ervadi.
