Haripad known as the town of temples is situated in the state of Kerala. It is in between Alappuzha and Kollam on National Highway 47. There are eighteen Hindu temples in Haripad and about 30 more in the surrounding countryside.

Subrahmanya Swamy Temple
This is the oldest and most important of all Subrahmanya temples in Kerala. This temple is one of the most prestigious centres of pilgrimage in South India and an evidence of the excellence of Southern architecture. Subrahmanya Swamy temple is situated at Haripad.
Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple
It is a very ancient and internationally-known centre of pilgrimage for the devotees of serpent gods. It is one of the rarest temples in the world where serpent deities are worshipped, particularly by woman priests.
Valiyakulangara Kettukazhcha,
This festival is conducted every year on the Aswathyi Nakshathram of Malayalam month ‘Kumbham – It is probably the most amazing cultural visual spectacle in Central Kerala, similar to the Thrissur Pooram.The great chariot festival that exposes Haripad’s true heritage.
Karthikappally Church
Karthikappally St.Thomas Orthodox Cathedral is one of the ancient churches in Kerala. The church, established some thousand years before, is at Harippad. Karthikappally church keeps an immense archive of the local history in about 621palmyra-written records.
The church became the centre of attraction recently as two lithograph records and the remnants suspected to be that of a metropolitan were unearthed from the church premises. The lithographic stones have been identified to be 300years antique.

It is well connected by roads to various towns and cities of India. There is bus service from Haripad to all the major south Indian cities and towns.
