Kalady is located in the Ernakulam District of Kerala. It is a religious place since it is the birthplace of Sri Adi Shankara.

This temple is dedicated to Adi Shankara. This shrine at Kalady is located on the northern Bank of the river Periyar and is a large partly open structure.
Ramakrishna Advaita Ashram
This ashram is located near the birth place of Sri Shankara. It is a holy place for the Hindus.
Sri Adi Sankara Keerthi Sthamba Mandapam
This memorial was built by Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt and is a magnificent building. It is an 8 storey building having two elephants leading to the Paduka Mandapam.
Sri Krishna Temple
This temple dedicated to lord Krishna is to the west of the Sringeri Mutt temple.
Manickamangalam Karthyayani Temple
This temple is dedicated to goddess Durga and is situated to the north of Kalady. The father of Sree Sankara ws the priest in this temple.
