Kayamkulam is a municipal town located in the Alappuzha district of the South Indian state of Kerala. This place has derived its name from “Kayam” meaning a spice tree and “Kulam” meaning pond. Kayamkulam has been the abode of art and architecture since ages.

Parabrahma Temple and Chettikulangara Bhagavathy Temples: These are the famous temples of Kayamkulam and has goddess Bhagavathy as its presiding deity. There is an enormous traditional lamp that is lit everyday by the priests.
