Koduvally is a small town located in the Kozhikode district in the South Indian state of Kerala. It has derived its name from the Koduvally River that flows through it. This place has people belonging to different caste, creed and religion. There are several places worth visiting in Koduvally.
TOURIST PLACES
Mananchira Square: this park is an ideal place to relax and to get rejuvenated. This place with its tranquil environment an open air theatre, a musical fountain and the lush greenery makes it an ideal place for tourists to visit.
Pazhassiraja Museum: this museum is under the State Archaeological Department and houses several antique bronze, ancient coins, rare paintings and is visited by people coming from different places.
Krishna Menon Museum: This museum has been built in memory of V.K Krishnan, the Great Indian leader and houses several personal assets of the famous personality.
Tali Temple: this temple is known for its ‘Revathi Pattathanam’, which is a local completion that is played here. This temple stands witness to the Zamorin kingdom of Kozhikode and is visited by several pilgrims.
Malabar Mahotsavam: this is a popular festival held during the month of January. Here one will be able to witness the age old customs and traditions of Kerala.
Dolphin’s Point: from the Dolphins point one will be able to see several dolphins playing in the sea. This is the main tourist attraction of the place.
Thikkoti Lighthouse: this lighthouse has been built after a shipwreck and allures many tourists. One will be witness the enchanting beauty of the place from this lighthouse.

Shopping in Kozhikode is quite a delightful experience. One can buy fancy cloth items from the shops on S M Street and Mavoor Road. The Comtrust Store off Town Hall Road specializes in handloom fabrics produced locally. The local handicraft products like rosewood and buffalo horn carvings, coir products and miniature snake boats are very popular amongst the tourist. While shopping in Kozhikode, one should make it a point to visit the supermarket on Mavoor Road and CSI at Mananchira and Big Bazaar at SM Street for a wide variety of such products. Kozhikode is also known for being home to ‘Calico’ – a soft printed cotton variety, available by the roll on SM Road.
