Sivakasi is a small municipal town located in the Virudhunagar District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This town was referred to as Mini Japan earlier. This temple is visited by people who wish to witness the stupa of Tirumangaialvar that had been built in the 10th century. About 8 km from Sattur is a place called Irukkankudi that is the abode of Mariamman temple. This temple has been built at the confluence of Arjuna River and Vaipparu River and is believed to be 200 years old. Hence this temple is thronged by people from different places. Thiruchuli is one of the famous places for pilgrimage. It is said that this place is where Sri Ramana Maharishi, the popular sage of Thiruvannamalai was born.
