In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, nestled in the Western Ghats is a small village called Vathalagundu. Kodaikanal: This is the most popular tourist places and lies about only 100km from the place. Kodaikanal with its exquisite scenery, lush greenery and serene ambience is visited by people from every nook and corner of the country.

Kamarajar Lake: This Lake that lies at the Kamarajar valley provides mesmerizing view to the spectators. Hence one must make it a point to visit this beautiful lake.

Kunnuvarankottai or Kunnapatti:  This place houses the Lord Visalakshi-Visvanathar temple and is visited by ardent devotees of Lord Vishnu who come here to offer prayers.

Lord Muruga Temple: As the name implies this temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. People walk to this temple from far-off places to pay homage to the presiding deity. One can also reach this place by means of rope car or winch.
