Vijayanagaram also referred to as the Vizianagaram district is situated on the coastal districts of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This place got its name from “Vizia” means victory and “Nagaram” meaning city. This city is the most sparsely populated city of the state. This is one of the most popular tourist places of the state. The city is famous for its forts, temples and the ethereal Thatipudi reservoir that is present in the Eastern Ghats. This city is often visited by the spiritualist, ornithologist and the naturalist for their research and studies. It is the least populous district in Andhra Pradesh.

RAAMATEERTHAM: The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Rama. It is believed to be one thousand years old and is only about 7km from Vijayanagaram. It is visited by tourists who pay homage to the Gods.
KUMILI: This place houses a number of temples and is believed to have taken 10 years to complete the construction of this temple. It is only 12km from Vijayanagaram and is flocked by large number of Hindu tourists. The sculptures and paintings adorning the walls of the temple attract a lot of tourists to this place.
THE WATERFALLS AND THE TEMPLE OF SRI UMA KOTILINGESWARA SWAMI: This place was previously known as Virata Parvatha. It is located on the hills of Punyagiri and lies in close proximity to Vijayanagaram. It houses one of the oldest Shiva temples of the region. The cascading waterfalls make it important tourist attractions. Several ardent devotees of Lord Shiva come to this place to rid themselves of their sins.
