Virudhachalam also referred to as Vriddhachalam is a municipality town located in Cuddalore district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a taluk headquarter of the region. Palamalai Nadhar, a Shiva temple which is one of the oldest temples in South India is located at this place.
