Yanam is a town located in the Union territory of Pondicherry in the Indian state of Tamil nadu. This place is adorned with coconut trees and is located on the banks of the Godavari River. DARIYALA THIPPA ROAD: This road is located on the banks of the river Godavari and is adorned with the stupas of renowned personalities which add to the beauty of the road. ANNAVARM TEMPLE: Lord Satyanarayan is the presiding deity of this famous temple. Young brides are often seen visiting this temple to seek blessings for a blissful married life. It is only 80km form Yanam and is as popular as the Tirupati temple.
HISTORIC CHURCH: This Catholic Church built in 1846 bears the European style of architecture. This church is unique because of the fact that it houses a temple that is believed to have been constructed by the then reigning French rulers.
DRAKSHARAMAM: This temple is one of the oldest of the region and the has Lord Shiva as its presiding deity. The Shiva Stupa is about 14feet high. People visit this temple in large number to witness the stupa as well as to offer prayers to lord Shiva.
