Anupgarh is a small village in the Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. It is located right in an agricultural area. The neighbouring country of Pakistan is only 8 km (16-minute drive) west of the town. The province of Pakistan which borders the area is Punjab. The town was the scene of fierce fighting between the rebelling Bhati Rajputs and Mughals in the middle ages. While in the town you can try the Rajasthani cuisine.

Being a village, naturally there are no places to put up for the night. One is forced to venture into Bikaner (187 km away) for lodging. There are a couple of good budget hotels in the city. Places of Interest
The village has the Anupgarh Fort, which is of historical importance. It was constructed by the Mughals in an effort to suppress the Bhati Rajputs who had rebelled against the dynasty.
