Atner is a town in the Betul district in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is a part of the Narmadapuram division of the state. It shares close proximity with the northern border of the state of Maharashtra. It is also very close to the river Tapti, which is at its highest points in these areas. However it is pretty underdeveloped and it ranks among the 250 most under developed places in India.
