Bylakuppe is a small village within the Piriyapatna Taluk in Mysore, Karnataka. It belongs to the Mysore division and is located 84 km towards west from the district headquarters Mysore, 18 km from Piriyapatna, 215 km from Bangalore. Bylakuppe is home to two of several Tibetan settlements in India. These settlements were started by Dickyi Larsoe (1969) and Lugsum Samdupling (1961). Madikeri, Sakleshpur, Hassan, Mysore are the nearby cities to Bylakuppe.
