Kudremukh a mountainous region in Karnataka’s Chikmagalur district got its name from Kudre, meaning horse and mukha, which means face. There is a scenic mountain which looks like a horse face, hence the locals named it Kudremukh. This region is untouched and sought after by many eco-tourists, as it has many natural wonders to explore. This picturesque forest range is home to endangered animals and birds. There is also a wide range of exotic flora in the region. The best time to visit Kudremukh is between October and May.
