A city and a municipality in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, Tadipatri/Tadpatri, which was also known Bhaskara Kshetra is famous for its purity of gold. To the south of the city lies a thick forest of palm trees. It is believed that the city got its name from Tatipatri which means garden of palm trees. The World famous Belum caves are located about 20kms from Tadpatri.
