Banka

Banka is a city in the East Indian state of Bihar. It is a part of the Banka district and comes within the Bhagalpur division. The city has a rich and balanced religious composition of both Hindus and Muslims. Banka as a city has produced many famous freedom fighters such as Satish Prasad Jha, Sri Kirti Narayan Singh and others.

In the state of Bihar lies Khagaria, a town through which 5 major rivers flow - the Ganga, the Gandak, the Bagmati, the Kamala and the Koshi. The island boasts of a Siddhi Peet for Hindus which is the Jaimangala Devi Temple. The place is a delight for the bird watchers.

Air:
The nearest airport to Khagaria is Patna at a distance of 129 km.

Rail:
Khagaria is a major railway junction station and it well connected this way.

Bus:
There aren’t any direct buses from Patna to Khagaria. It would better to use the state transport bus from Patna to Muzaffarpur (around 74 km) and then the Asr Kir Express to Khagaria (around 171 km). Book your tickets in advance and avail of your bus ticket discount coupon, especially given during festive seasons.
