Earlier known as Wamansthali, Vanthali is a historical city in Gujarat’s Junagadh district. It was once ruled by Vanthali Wala Ram, who adopted his nephew Ra Chuda as he did not have any son, who could succeed him. After he ascended the throne, Ra Chuda changed his name to Chudasama and ruled Junagadh from 9th-15th centuries. As it is only 20 km away from its headquarters, it has several temples and forts worth visiting nearby.
