About Washim

Washim

A city and a municipal council in the Washim district of Maharashtra, Washim is about 200 km from Aurangabad. The name Washim is derived from Basim, which means ‘the one that smiles’ in Arabic. Washim is famous as a pilgrimage hub and has many ancient temples like Balaji Mandir, Padma Teertha and Pohara Devi temple.
