About Bhadragiri


Bhadragiri is a small village in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a part of the Vizianagaram district and comes within the Coastal Andhra region of the state. It is located quite close to the district headquarters at a distance of 115 km north. Those with a taste for exploring beaches and temples along with the magnificent cuisine can try this place out.

Some of the places of interest in the area are located in the Visakhapatnam region. Sites worth a visit are Sri Sri Nookambika Temple, the Andhra Baptist Church and the ruins of a Buddhist temple known as Bojjannakonda. Many other old Buddhist temples can be found in the area too.

The nearest airport is the Visakhapatnam Airport at a meager distance of 61 km from Vizianagaram.

Vishakapatnam Railway Station is the major railway station at a distance of 850 metres from Vizianagaram.

Both state-run as well as private bus operators operate in the area. Private operators include HKB Tours and Travels and Kesineni Travels. Buses to the area are available from Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam. Opt for booking your tickets in advance and get cheap bus tickets from several travel portals.
