About Bijadi

Bijadi

Beejadi is a small village in the South Indian state of Karnataka in Udupi district. The village is a traveller’s and surfer’s paradise as it sits exactly on the Arabian Sea coast. The place has not been that exposed to tourism, yet many people come to Beejadi. The nearest urban agglomeration of Udupi is 31 km north of the place.

The Udupi Railway Station, located around 34 km away, is the closest major railway station to the village.

Direct buses as well as via buses to the town are available from nearby towns and cities as the town has a lot of significance in the national arena for its tourist sites. It is mostly state-transport buses which cater to the needs of people. A city located in the Davanagere District of Karnataka, Harihar is famous for the Harihareshwara temple. Geographically located in the centre of the state, Harihar is on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. The National Highway 4 (Puna – Bangalore) passes via this city. Harihar serves as a major industrial base as a large number of industries are headquartered here.
