Patur
Patur is a city located in the Akola district of Maharashtra. Popularly called as ‘Paiur Shaikh Babu’ or ‘Nanasaheb's Patur’, it is located in the south east corner of the Balapur tahsil. The first evidence of the existence of civilization in Patur can be found in the Buddhist monastery on the hill. The monasteries are believed to have been established around 1058 AD.
